The U. S. Embassy regularly holds online auctions via a Web-based electronic auction platform.
This notice is to alert all interested bidders to an upcoming auction.
What is up for auction? Furniture and Electronics.
The electronic auction is being updated daily and is open for public viewing and registration here.
Official bidding will be activated on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. and will close on Sunday, May 30th, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. During this period, you can actively take part and submit your bid for the surplus property.
How it works
The maximum number of bids on one item is stated per item. You may increase your bid only in the local currency. During the auction, you should monitor your bids so you can react to all bids’ price development in real time, similar to EBAY.
As soon the sale is closed, all winners will automatically be contacted via their e-mail address. The e-mail that winning bidders receive contains a link to the auction application where bidders can review the items with the winning bids.
Who may and may not bid on items
The online auction is open to all, except for U.S. Government employees who are in the direct property disposal decision process.
Pickup of items won
Winning bidders must pay for their items between Monday, June 1st and Thursday June 3rd. Instructions for payment will be provided in the link.
In order to retrieve items, winning bidders must present the original receipt of the bank money transfer with all required details, included in the payment paragraph or a printed version of the Internet banking money transfer.
All bidders are reminded to read the instructions, terms, and conditions of the sale when registering.
After the confirmation of payment for the items won, the items will be moved to the pickup location on Friday, June 4th . Winning bidders must remove their items in a timely manner; otherwise, items may be considered abandoned and disposed of. The items are, as is, where is, and the buyers are responsible for any applicable taxes.
Please contact Goran Popov at ext. 2283 for questions about the process.
