Information Resource Center (IRC)

The Information Resource Center (IRC) provides access to current comprehensive information about the United States, its policies and background on U.S. society, foreign policy, security, economic affairs, political processes and culture to an audience of media contacts, academics, professionals, NGOs and government officials concerned with the United States.

IRC‘s primary role is to operate as a research and reference service for the Mission, to provide latest news on North Macedonia and the region, to operate an electronic outreach service for selected Public Affairs contacts and to coordinate project function of the American Corners in North Macedonia.

The IRC accepts requests by mail, phone, fax and e-mail for biographical information, texts of speeches by U.S. government officials, articles from U.S. magazines and newspapers, addresses of American organizations, American think tanks and research institutes.

Lexis-Nexis

Full text information from over 13,500 legal, news and business publications. The Lexis service contains major archives of U.S. federal and state case law, continually updated statues of all the states, and state and federal regulations. The Nexis service is a leading news and business information service of more than 13,500 sources, including regional, national, and international newspapers, newswires, magazines, trade journals, and business periodicals.

Galenet/Infotrac® Onefile

Provides full-text articles and abstracts on wide-ranging topics including business, current events, economics, education, environmental issues, health care, law, literature and art, politics, science, social science, sports and technology.

Biography Resource Center

Offers biographies from Gale Group sources in combination with full-text articles from hundreds of periodicals.

Gale’s Ready Reference Shelf

Incorporates 15 of the Gale Groups general reference databases, including Encyclopedia of Associations. Users can access more than 320,000 directory entries for associations, research centers, publishers, print publications, databases, and television and radio stations.

Leadership Directories

Provides online access to directories of the Congress, federal, state and municipal government, law firms, NGOs, judicial, media and associations.

STAT-USA (U.S. Department of Commerce)

Current and historic economic and trade related statistics. Produced by the U.S. Department of Commerce, STAT-USA is an authoritative, current source of information, which includes the National Trade Data Bank, Globs (Global Business Opportunities) Country Commercial Guides, current economic releases and much more.
